Does it seem like my blog and all the Real Food Media bloggers are coming at you this month with a lot of giveaways and gift ideas? It’s just because we really want to help our sponsors and get the word out about how important it is to try and spend Christmas gift money on products that will help good companies to grow, while keeping our bodies healthy! For that reason, even though I did a Real Food Christmas Gift Ideas post yesterday, I’m also putting up an extra post this weekend to share MORE Real Food gift ideas for you to consider:
UPDATE: Real Food T-shirts & Shopping Bags are now available at holiday discounted prices!
#1 Real Food Christmas Gift Idea
Cultures for Health have all sorts of items that would make great gifts, whether it’s Real Food books, Cheesemaking kits (Yeah, it may sound funny, but if you’re buying for a Real Foodie, they’d love it!), or if you want something to make your Real Foodie drool, an Excalibur dehydrator is just the thing. (Someday I’m getting the big honking Excalibur with 9 racks!)

#2 Real Food Christmas Gift Idea
I had the opportunity to meet Sandrine Hahn at the Weston Price conference in Chicago last month. She is the director of an amazing program called, Nourishing Our Children, and you can support them by buying one of their 2010 calendars: “Nourishing Our Children is a non-profit campaign of the Weston A. Price Foundation established to address the dramatic deterioration in the health of our children. This calendar is a fundraising opportunity for us to illustrate themes relevant to our cause – organic farming, whole foods, a seasonal focus and honoring the natural world that surrounds us.”
At right is one of the pictures featured in the calendar: “Pasture Raised Chicken at Marin Sun Farms in Point Reyes, California photographed by Sandrine Hahn in May 2005.“
#3 Real Food Christmas Gift Idea
OK, so this one isn’t about real food, but it’s about products for our health. One of our new sponsors on the resources page is Actual Organics. Ann Marie tells me, “I have been testing out her products and they are wonderful — like the ones you use at a spa. A real treat – and totally organic (food grade, not the “faux” organic personal care products like they have at Whole Foods). So far I LOVE the toothpaste, the deodorant works great, and I love the lotion, lip balm and the botanical perfumes, too.” Keep in mind that the last shipping day in the U.S. for Christmas is Dec 17th, and all orders over $100 get free shipping. Joanna at Actual Organics suggested three great last minute Christmas gift ideas:
Many indulge their loved ones with a chic bottle of perfume at Christmas, sadly that can harbor ingredients that, to a real food love, are not good enough to eat. Miessence has created a range of six certified organic botanical perfumes which have certified organic ingredients of jojoba oil, essential oils, resins and absolutes. These are a great present for the love in your life. If you can’t decide which of the six to purchase then a Perfume Sample pack is the ideal gift as it provides a sample of Brave, Calm, Love, Free, Wild & Delicious, they come in an organza bag and are best kept in the tube for storage & longevity. - A teenage girl may enjoy some mineral make up that has certified organic ingredients and is free from synthetic chemicals.
- A new mother would love the Breast & Belly Balm and the new baby pack gift.
- Visit Actual Organics for more gift ideas!
Note: if you click on the resource page links above I will receive a small commission. Thank you for helping me to continue blogging.

Soli, thanks for the feedback. I was getting bored with it and this took only one click to change it around.
