Before & After Photos

Before I tell you more about Jennifer pictured above…

First, I want to share something hilarious with you, because we have to laugh sometimes!  It's just a short clip from a Mom who summarizes all the different health philosophies coming at us daily.  Watch it here on Facebook or Instagram.  The comments there are so funny too!

So yes, I know we're all tired of hearing about “all the things” we should be doing.  But the reality is, we have to do something to keep fit and stay healthy, and I want to talk about what's working for a lot of people, myself included!

(Go here for the original post with info about the one-week reset.)

Jennifer lost 8 pounds in one week!  Here's her story:

“Let’s have the hard chat.  The one that no one likes to talk about.  I'm a wife, mom, work outside of our home and the keeper of all things.  A few weeks ago, it hit me.  Jennifer, you’ve got to do something for yourself.  My blood pressure finally told me that it was time to slow down and take a break.  The last year or so, I have really packed on the pounds.  Clearly, the pre-reset picture shows that especially in my face.  I knew my clothes were tighter.  I just kind of ignored it.  I’ve tried every diet out there and was unsuccessful.  My nurse practitioner offered me ozempic.  I told her no.

Then like always, I saw Rose on Facebook sharing all this wonderful news about Anovité’s new products.  I have been an Anovite user for several years and love them.  I must say I was skeptical at first because I was so worried about how my body would react.  In the past I’ve always had reactions to certain products.  I ordered the kit anyway.  I told myself for $25.00, what did I have to lose but the weight?!

I was so excited about the reset.  I started with my meal prepping ideas immediately after I ordered the kit.

Last week was crazy and challenging.  I started my reset on Sunday.  We were stuck home Sunday and Monday iced in.  That is a time otherwise I would’ve snacked all day long.  But I used that time to meal prep, come up with ideas, and plan my week.  I’m terrible at meal prepping.  However, I made it work.

I really think the pictures speak for themselves.  I lost 8 pounds in one week!  I lost enough inches to no longer be classified as severely obese for my age, weight, and height.  By day three, a jacket that I couldn’t wear now comfortably buttons and fits much better in the shoulders.  I can wear my wedding rings–I haven’t been able to get them on in several years.  The inflammation is gone and I truly feel better.

I have ordered my Leptitrim kit and will continue on with the 12 week program.  I may not be perfect, but I know the products work.  I’ve already seen amazing results and look forward to reaching my goal.  I'm going to wear one of my favorite dresses for our anniversary.  It’s only been worn once!  I can’t wait for it to fit again.

Oh and I forgot to add that I didn’t change anything about my week other than my diet and taking the Leptitrim products.  The only exercise I did was the same 30 minutes I do every afternoon walking our dog.”

Here was Rose's response in the group:  (Rose is our team leader.)

Way to go, girl, I can definitely see it in your face!!! That is one thing I have loved about the system. To me, when it shows this much in the face (mine did too – each time I have done it), it shows me that we're losing the extra fluids and those are a major issue for me and I believe many others. The really good part is that I have kept it off each time I do it and have a little more that comes off each time too.  I don't quickly say something about a product until I've seen it for myself, but I will say, now on my 3rd time doing this that THIS  WORKS, and I have really just followed the system making it fit me with my tolerance levels, and kept living as I was. (I also already exercised and have continued the same.) You rocked Week 1!!!

Another update from Jennifer!

Now, just 2 days shy of 2 months, the last time I weighed myself two weeks ago, I was down another 14 pounds plus the 9 I lost during the reset. I no longer function on 2-3 caffeine drinks a day. I have food cravings but it’s the good stuff like salads, fruit, fresh veggies. I’m not eating 5 times a day. I do eat a big breakfast, a small lunch, and a small supper. Most of the time I only eat two meals a day and maybe some fruit. Yes, I won’t lie, I still have bad days. But, now they’re few and far between. I sleep better. I have more energy. I feel better. I do still exercise–nothing extraordinary, I walk everyday. I want to start lifting weights again but I’m waiting on a shoulder injury to heal. I’m not where I want to be just yet, but I’m so thankful I’m not where I started. My plan is to continue on for the rest of the 12 weeks then see from there.

Supplement sensitivities?

By the way, Rose is very sensitive and had issues taking some of the Ultimate Trim Box supplements, so she talked about that in the group too and told exactly how she got through it so she could keep having wins.  SO if you have any trouble with the supplements not feeling right for some reason, email me so I can help you:  [email protected].  (I will ALWAYS reply, so if I don't, that means it went to my spam for some dumb reason.  So in that case, message me on Facebook or Instagram–I'll see Instagram faster.)

Ready for your liver detox and hormone reset?

  • Get this Ultimate Trim Box (UTB) here –> if you're a new customer get free shipping when you go here and enter the promo code OCT50 at checkout for a discount.   (Promo code changes each month, email me for the new one if needed:  [email protected].) If you have any trouble, try the Chrome browser–that one usually plays nice compared to others like Safari or Firefox, etc.  NOTE:  if you're already an Anovite customer, you can get the same products in the Leptitrim bundle here.  (Because, of course, people abused the great deal and so they had to change things.)
  • If you just want the one week cleanse, then you're all set.  If you want to keep the momentum going, go here to get the Leptitrim6 bundle which is the best deal for a one month supply.  It's one bottle each of the Metaboliver6, Daytime, and Nighttime caps (and buy the discounted Weight Loss Management pack with either the vanilla or chocolate shakes too if you're doing those)–this way you can keep going after the first week without stalling your results by having to wait to order more.

***THANK YOU GIFT:  Get a FREE COPY of my entire Real Food for Rookies e-book:

Here's how:  for your first order, if you purchase both the Ultimate Trim Box and also a Leptitrum Bundle OR a Weight Management Pack (basically the one week detox supplements plus the next month of supplements as well), as a thank you I'll send you my RFFR e-book free! Just forward me your email receipt:  [email protected]. 🙂

My one-week results:  I lost a pound or half pound each day for a total of 5.5 pounds. One friend lost 16 pounds!

I ate delicious meals and a few hundred less calories per day than my normal, but had no hunger or even one urge to “cheat”.  I didn't have trouble with the supplements at all thankfully and I really think these are the reason the week wasn't difficult.  I think the biggest thing they help with is cutting cravings.  The UTB (Ultimate Trim Box) supplements must really curb hunger and they're also safe, natural, good ingredients, and with zero side effects, unlike the weight loss shots everyone is talking about!

(Make sure you're on my email newsletter so I can reach out now and then!)

Since I finished that one-week reset, I've been eating low-carb (and more butter and other fats), and still taking the supplements, but not as many as that reset week.  I've lost more, only in much smaller increments each day.  Some days I stay the same, at least I'm not going up.  HOWEVER, when that happens, I measure myself and see that I'm losing inches too!  I've lost 6″, basically some in all areas.  But slower weight loss is okay because eating low-fat like we do for week one is NOT good for our health long term (it's a nice jump-start though with the liver detox!), and also I think that if weight comes off slowly, it has a better chance of staying off.   (As long as you keep an eye on it and rein it in right when you see it creeping back up.  For me this was due to getting back into habits of overeating, because real food is so good!)

UPDATE June 2026:

I'm currently down about 15# and although I'm still watching my carbs and hoping to lose more, I'm at least not gaining any back.  I'm pretty happy with that because even though it's going slow but sure, I'm still eating mostly lower carb meals and clothes are fitting better, etc. so that's a WIN.  I'm not eating NO carbs, just much lower than my norm.  I still eat sourdough and other carbs here and there (mostly fruit, sweet potatoes, an occasional ice cream, and hardly ever pasta or rice), but my norm is to keep them lower especially when we're eating here, which is most of the time.  I'm also still doing a 40 hour fast once a week (watch the powerful short video here about fasting benefits!) and the other days I'll eat one or two meals. Mostly I'm breaking my over-the-top food loving habit. I still love it of course–both cooking it and eating it, but I'm learning to be happy with much less.

I'm thinking that I'll do the one-week detox again soon to kick things back up.  I look at it as a nice “reset” every few months.

Here are a few of my low-carb meals (this is to give you ideas for AFTER the one-week reset):

I think you really have to find what works for you.  For me, taking the supplements keeps me from craving sweets and from over-eating.  I've been meal planning on Sundays like normal, and finding meals that work for me (low-carb), but with a starch filler added for the family.

  • One night I made keto chicken strips for me (I used pork rinds for breadcrumbs, it was so good, here's the recipe!) and regular for the fam.  I love BBQ so I only used a half-Tablespoon and added dijon mustard to that to stretch it and it hit the spot.  We also had seasoned green beans and the family (not me) had crispy potatoes.  That's all I had for dinner because I was still mostly full from lunch that day:  2 eggs and a bowl of leftover low-carb tomato soup.
  • Another day we had pork tacos and the fam had tortillas with it; I fried one low-carb/low-cal tortilla in butter (these tortillas have great ingredients too or next I'm trying these ones with only ONE net carb!) and we had lots of lettuce, peppers, an Asian sauce (low-carb), and cheese.
  • Once we had ground beef chili with vegetables instead of beans (diced onions, peppers, celery, tomatoes)–this was so good on such a cold day! I also added some ground liver and ground heart to this and no one knew. 😉 The family also had grilled cheese sandwiches with the chili.
  • Another day we had a party to go to, so before we left I ate some berries and a couple eggs on half-piece of buttered toast (fermented multi-grain bread from a local baker).  Then at the party I drank my flavored sparkling water in a wine glass and only ate some spicy cheese while there.
  • I loved this:  Cod with a little melted butter, garlic powder, sea salt and lemon pepper–then baked on 350* for 20 minutes-ish. Cauliflower rice for me, fried in a little butter, with more sea salt and lemon pepper. Regular rice for the fam. Also some raw kraut.
  • We've had grassfed steak a couple of times (our son makes an amazing sauce for steak that I've told you about before).  The fam had rice or potatoes with it and I had cauliflower rice with more of the cream sauce on that.  Another time I had a 4 oz. steak with mustard and onions fried in a tiny amount of butter and avocado oil. I also roasted a head of cauliflower with a light spray of avocado oil, sea salt and pepper. I made a sauce for it that turned out pretty good: the zest and juice from one clementine, 4 cubes of ginger (from Trader Joe's, or just fresh grated ginger or even dried ginger), 2 Tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1/8 cup or so of hot water to dissolve the ginger and cut the saltiness of the soy sauce. Even the fam liked the cauliflower and sauce! With the steak they also had noodles with butter, sea salt & pepper, and parmesan, but I didn't have that, obviously.
  • Seasoned lean pork chops (dipped in hot sauce instead of BBQ because that has sugar), roasted veg, potatoes for the fam, raw kraut.
  • Taco salad.
  • Chicken Salad: shredded chicken mixed with chopped rainbow peppers. Served over a bed of lettuce and salad veggies of choice. Add a little lemon juice and herbs or balsamic vinegar for flavor.   After the first reset week, make with homemade mayo or avocado oil mayo.
  • During the reset week:  Tuna Salad with tuna (packed in water not oil) drained and mixed with chopped celery, onion, peppers. Served over a bed of lettuce and salad veggies of choice.  After the first reset week, make with homemade mayo or avocado oil mayo.
  • Seasoned shrimp with rice for the fam/mine with cauliflower rice, parsley, roasted veg and/or fruit, raw kraut.
  • I've also made egg salad and had it with some low-carb crackers I found that are only 1 net carb for 8 crackers and the ingredients are not bad, not perfect, but not horrible.  I'm planning to try my own recipe for low-carb crackers soon made with egg whites and yogurt.
  • These low-carb cabbage rolls are another option.
  • Salads with various add-ins are always fun.  (Just skip the dried fruits, croutons, etc.)
  • Before bed: small grapefruit with sea salt. (I thought I needed food to take with my nighttime supplements, but turns out they go down easily without food after all, so I didn't have a before bed snack the rest of the week. I'm never hungry after dinner anyway and don't want to start a bedtime snack habit!)
  • Dinner one night: the fam had leftover BBQ pork sandwiches and leftover taco soup with corn chips, sour cream and shredded cheese on top. I had just the base of the taco soup (picked out the corn and beans) and no toppings. We also had roasted, seasoned broccoli in the oven with a spray of avocado oil. Plus some raw kraut.
  • There are also so many good recipes online, here are a couple chicken crockpot recipes I found recently that I could eat over cauliflower rice and the fam over regular rice: this one or this one.
  • Morning Smoothies: ½ apple, ¾ cup frozen berries, 1 celery stalk, 1 carrot, or add whatever you'd like from these superfood smoothie ideas as long as you skip the dairy and eggs if you're in the reset week.
  • Morning chopped fruit salad or veggie salad or combination of both, use just lemon juice with herbs or balsamic vinegar for flavor.
  • Meatballs: ground beef rolled into meatballs and seasoned with clean, no-sugar seasonings. Serve over “zoodles” (zucchini ribbons) or cauliflower rice and no-sugar tomato sauce or stewed tomatoes.
  • Chicken Stir-fry: chicken breast stir fried with chopped veggies and seasoned with soy sauce. Top with some organic mandarin oranges.
  • Soup: bone broth with lean meat, lots of veggies and no-sugar seasonings of choice.
  • Check out more of my low-carb recipes here.
  • One day we had a whole chicken roasted in the oven.  Our son made the BEST wine/cream sauce using the pan drippings from the chicken, so they had that over pasta and I had it over cauliflower.  That night we also had my favorite low-carb garlic lemon parmesan zucchini:

  • The day I made the low-carb tomato soup, I also made these keto dinner rolls so I could dip them into it, they're so good and great to have more things to put butter on!

  • Lastly, I just found this Hero brand bundle of super low-carb breads that have not-too-bad ingredient labels!  (I mentioned the tortillas above.) I'm going to try this bundle.

Misc. tips:

  • Baked, steamed or stir-fried onions, peppers, and mushrooms compliment lean meats (no fats or minimize).
  • Use riced cauliflower or broccoli (instead of rice).
  • Use zoodles or spaghetti squash (instead of pasta).
  • Use mashed cauliflower or winter squash (instead of potatoes).
  • Season with your favorite no-sugar seasonings, herbs, and healthy sea salt.

Snack Ideas:

  • Mini bell peppers dipped in guacamole.
  • Mini cucumbers marinated in salt water & vinegar.
  • Thinly sliced apple slices, sprinkled with cinnamon.
  • Scroll through more low-carb recipes here.
  • Crunch on celery or cucumbers, a few berries, grapefruit (I love it with sea salt!), maybe clementines or other not-too-sweet fruits. I won't eat bananas, pineapple or mangos because they're so sweet.
  • My sister suggested a little avocado on a slice of tomato with sea salt and pepper, yum!

If you find that you're hungry between meals:

  • Remember to drink your water (w/ the electrolytes linked above if you'd like) or coffee.
  • Take your Metaboliver6 and Daytime Trim Control capsules.
  • Also remember that cravings have been shown to pass quickly if you just get busy and go do something else!
  • Eat a small snack-see above.

Let me know if you like hearing about my meals!  I thought it might give you some good ideas, but it also may bore you to death, lol!

More random comments or things I’ve tried:

I’m not doing any 24 hour fasts after all (as I thought I would)–but more like 18 hours, from after dinner until lunchtime the next day, which is basically when I'm hungry anyway. I'm not normally a breakfast eater. This is working because I'm getting fewer calories than normal and need 2 meals to get the protein in. I also need to eat when I swallow pills. (Except I actually can take the nighttime pills without food thankfully.)

I’ve been using my kitchen scale for weighing veggies or meat because I’m entering my meals in the Fitness Pal app that I told you about here . It’s interesting to see how many macros I’m getting each day (carbs, fat, protein) and calories.

It's been tough for me to drink as much water as they suggest (1 gallon a day?!), but I'm definitely drinking more than normal & peeing more too of course! It's been so cold outside, so just plain hot water has been going down nicely.

I'm definitely eating a small amount of fat with my meals because we all know that we need fat in order to absorb the other nutrients we're eating! But I don't want to mess with my liver detox results either, so where I’d normally use huge dollops of butter to stir fry or roast veggies for example, I’ll just add 1/2-1 teaspoon or so of avocado oil. In my salad dressings I might add a little olive oil. Or a little butter if I'm sautéing veggies or cauliflower rice. Be sure to read my post about this so you know why me, of all people, someone who LOVES my healthy fats (especially animal fats), is actually eating low-fat for one week only!

To add flavor to the following meals, I've been using lots of sea salt , seasonings, herbs, and things like vinegar, lemon juice, hot sauce or mustard. You could also add lemon or orange zest to your veggies or in your homemade salad dressings–that adds so much good flavor. All of those have zero fat and zero calories!

I woke up with a Charley horse (calf cramps) Monday night, which often happens when I'm not eating bread, so I added more electrolytes to my water. ( I like the ingredients in these electrolytes a little better , but the kids like the taste of these better .) I also drank only decaf coffee (caffeine depletes minerals) and ate organ meats for dinner (in the chili, see below) so thankfully all of that helped and I didn't have the cramps again.
