Diet suggestions for optimum results:
- These are the recommended diet changes only for that first week:
-Breakfast: Only fruits and veggies, all you want.
-Lunch & Dinner: 3-4 ounces of lean meat, fruits & vegetables–all you want. Non-sugared seasonings only. No potatoes, bread, pasta or rice.
-Daily limit of 6-8 ounces of lean red meat, chicken or fish.
-Drinks: Plain coffee or tea (or mixed with Colostrum6, note that the 2 pound bag is the best value by far and it lasts a loooong time). Daily 1 gallon of water or add these electrolyte packets that I've told you about before: I like these ingredients a little better, but we like the taste of these better.
-Note: starchy foods, fruit juices, dairy products, oils and fats are not allowed during the Liver Detox. This recommended food plan is very strict, but it is for Week 1 only. (More on this below because yes I know it's crazy that I'm actually saying to limit protein & lower healthy fats!)
- Here are the diet suggestions for week 2-12:

- Clear your house of any junk that you know will be tempting.
- Start thinking of meal ideas. If you're still feeding a lot of people every day like I am, think of meals that can be adapted so you're filling the fam up with fruit/veg, protein, carbs, etc., but you can just skip the carbs. (After week-one, and especially after the 12 weeks, I'll still eat healthy carbs like my sourdough, but smaller portions. I think if you totally cut them out, your body wigs out when you add them back in and you gain a LOT back.)
- Make your grocery list and stock up! Try to follow the first week suggestions as closely as possible. A few important notes:
- As much as you all know how I LOVE MY HEALTHY ANIMAL FATS, cutting back that first week helps give your liver a bit of a break as the liver plays a huge role in metabolizing fats. Will I personally be able to cut out butter and other fats 100%? Doubtful, but I can cut it way back because I want this liver cleanse to really work and have good results. And it’s only for one week. Then I'll move to a basic lower carb diet and continue intermittent fasting. (More here about what I eat when eating low-carb.)
- I’m also not one to drink huge amounts of water each day and always felt that our bodies tell us when we’re thirsty. But again, remember we’re doing a detox and more water does help to flush out toxins. Basically I’ll shoot for 4 of my water cups/day. And I’ll add electrolytes in at least once a day because when I’m not eating grains, I sometimes get headaches. (I like the ingredients in these electrolytes a little better, but we like the taste of these better.)
- What about the shakes? If you want to use the shakes as well for weeks 2-12, it’ll likely give you faster results and many people LOVE them. I personally don’t dig some of the ingredients so I’m doing it without those. However, they’re still much better than pretty much any other meal-replacement/protein shake out there, so it’s up to you. (It includes the same supplements in the UTB + either vanilla or chocolate shakes.)
- There is no dependency on these products by the way, it’ll just help your body be in control instead of your appetite. Once you get where you'd like to be, you can stop taking these products if you choose.

You can use any combination of what you read there and see what resonates. Don't make it complicated, but the posts below do have lots of tips.
More on the one-week Liver Cleanse and how exactly to take the supplements:
It doesn't give exact times in the morning or afternoon because you can take the capsules whenever it works for you, with or without food.
- Day 1: 3 Metaboliver6 in the morning
- Day 2: 2 Metaboliver6 in the morning & 2 in the afternoon
- Day 3: 3 Metaboliver6 in the morning & 2 in the afternoon
- Day 4: 3 Metaboliver6 in the morning & 3 in the afternoon
