- A reader asked about dental implants after I shared the above testimony. My response: No, Kent didn’t need an implant because it was in the back, so it just grew over and was no problem. But if it was in the front then he wouldn’t have had a choice. So I’d just say it depends on where it is. If you CAN get away with not having an implant, that's definitely better, but it's not always avoidable. (I hear that they don't last, they require lots of antibiotics, and there are more issues to be aware of too. Read this article from Sarah for some helpful advice if you do need implants!)
