Today I’m linking again to this week’s No-GMO blog carnival, I hope you’ll do the same so we can raise awareness on this issue!
I wanted to highlight some of the more frightening facts about GMOs that you may not have heard, and if you have, it won’t hurt to hear them again. I hope it will motivate you to take action however you’re able:
Please join the no-GMO challenge, post about it at your blog, email or talk about it with others, Digg or Stumble any no-GMO posts, etc., and do your best to NOT buy GM foods at the store!
GMOs – Did You Know…
- What is genetic engineering? The further down you read at this site, the more scary the information becomes…
- GMOs have been linked to infertility.
- “All of the European Union nations, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries require the mandatory labeling of foods that contain genetically engineered ingredients. As a result, food manufacturers in all those countries choose to use non-genetically engineered ingredients.” (Source) Why don’t we require it yet?!
- What is the big deal? Why are GMOs dangerous?
- What foods are made from GMO crops? How to avoid GMOs!
- 7 GMO products I’ll bet you’re still using – this is a shocking list from Rose.
- Quoting from Cheeseslave: “The reality is, most people don’t even know they are eating GMOs. They don’t know GMOs are in their breakfast cereal and their baby’s formula. They don’t know GMOs are in their cookies and in their milk. And they don’t know about the health risks. They don’t know about the environmental threat.”
- Find out how tricky it is to avoid CORN these days in this reeeeally good movie, King Corn.

WOW. I hadn’t seen Rose’s post yet. It sure is troubling! I guess it’s a good reminder of just how pervasive CORN is in our society. It’s no longer just a food you eat on the cob.

Thank you for linking back to my post.
Skills I never thought I’d have. The ability to point out how almost anything in the grocery store contains corn. I love the book “The Omnivores Dilemma” because any one who reads it suddenly gets why my daughters allergy is more then just corn on the cob!
