Need some summer fun ideas for the kids or grandkids?
Summer is just around the corner and whether you're a Grandma or a Mom, you'll need some fun stuff planned, and here's just the thing!
I'm not a grandma yet, but praying for someday when the time is right. I sure love my great nieces and nephews though, and we have good friends who often share their grands with us too. 🙂
If I were a grandma though (or if I was still a young mom with littles), I'd sign up for this FREE online summer camp for loads of fun activities, life skills workshops, cooking demos, and plenty of bonding time. And to be honest, I love learning a lot of this stuff just for ME. In the past I enjoyed the classes on things like how to do basic car repairs and home organization. Just now I was watching a bunch of the free videos you get just for signing up and was so hooked!
Check out these Grandma testimonies:
- I'm a 62-year-old grandma who watched alone and still thoroughly enjoyed each of the skills I watched. I honestly signed up because I babysit a toddler and a preschooler AND my 13-month-old granddaughter. There are so many things I didn't “teach” my own kids – I didn't demonstrate the way Katie did or the other teachers. I wanted to learn HOW to teach. ~Joanie L.
- We had a lot of fun watching classes and talking to each other about them. My son even said after the etiquette class “Oh wow I've been such a jerk to grandma all those times, next time I'll put down my screen. I didn't know I was being so rude!” WOW, self awareness from a 10 year old boy! ~Jackie S.
- I signed up as a grandparent (no kids at home now) and my daughter signed up for her daughter, then we got on a google meet call together each day, printed out the worksheets, and together watched the classes she was interested in. Since we are 400+ miles away, this was a great way for us to interact and enjoy the classes together! We could pause the video and “fill in the blanks” if that was part of the class. Thank you for this camp. I can certainly tell that much thought and work went into it, and we were glad to be a part of it. All the classes we watched were great, and the camp leaders were amazing. ~Marilyn T.
