Now and then I’ll share my latest kitchen mishap, because I certainly have plenty of them.
So here’s my Friday Food Flop for today:
Note to self: when the Chili Lime Almonds have maple syrup on them, don’t turn the oven up just a little so that you can pig out on them tonight instead of tomorrow. You can’t see it well in the photo above, but the bottom of all these almonds are black. (Notice how 90% of my food flops these days are related to my impatience?)

Never open non chilled fermented beverages, when I opened it half of it shot out, thank goodness I was in the backyard.

It’s so nice to hear/see other people admit to their kitchen flops! Experimenting with healthy cooking has led me to my fair share and, even though my husband’s really sweet about it, I still feel dumb when it happens. It’s very reassuring to know it happens to everyone else too. :0)

Blueberry Zucchini bread…didnt thaw the frozen blueberries first…total much inside. Would have tasted great too!

Heh – I had a teeny kitchen fire this week. My reaction? “Oh, for pete’s sake!” – and I blew it out like a birthday candle. :>) (It really was small.) Good times.

OH my gosh! My dad does this with his eggs too – it’s disgusting!!

I am forever impatient. Today I tried to make pizza as I do every friday, but the dough stuck to the pan as I was transferring it to the pizza stone in the oven. I act like I’ve done it on purpose and tell the kids it’s my “Pizza Mess” and they usually eat it anyway. LOL

I set my pork chops on fire on the grill this week. They lit up like roman candles! Ha! Now, they were TRULY black. Sigh…

Ha…I’ve burned many things (like rice, practically every time!) because I am impatient. My husband is all but banished from the kitchen because HIS impatience frequently results in food disasters. He LIKES his eggs turning brown, and cooks them on high, because “I want 5 minute eggs, not 20 minute eggs.” lol!

Impatience is often my downfall too. You’d think I’d learn. Thanks for sharing.

My food flop is from canning this homemade salsa – I didn’t seal them correctly somehow in the boiling water canner and they leaked all over and only some sealed 🙁

My impatience messes me up in the kitchen all the time, too.
Tonight, it was frosting the brownies WELL before they were cool. Total mess. Not pretty to look at, but still delicious.

My mother would be all over those- she LIKES burned food (not preferred, but definitely likes).
