Augie posted this amazing article written by Ed Steen. Below is an excerpt, but it’s so good, you really must go read the whole thing:  Big Pharma Wants to Keep You Sick:

The more afraid and helpless people feel, the better.  So, the industry works to create myths that keep the public anxious:

  • You are just lucky to be healthy (so far)
  • You have only avoided disease “somehow”
  • You are vulnerable at every moment
  • You are harboring disease you just don’t know about yet
  • Your genetics have condemned you to whatever you may “get”
  • Infectious diseases are terrifying and deadly, can crop up at any time, and are getting worse by the year
  • Natural food supplements are not only worthless but dangerous
  • Staying or getting well is terribly complex, dependent on extensive testing and medical expertise
  • You can’t live without industry’s expensive drugs and vaccines

Rubbish. Nonsense. Hogwash. Fiddle-faddle.

If you’re still here, be sure to go check out the whole article and find out how we can stay well: Big Pharma Wants to Keep You Sick.

You are right on, as usual, Kelly! Thanks for helping spread the truth on Big Pharma and its fear tactics, etc.

Blessings…

This is why I am so against the so-called national health care. I used to think it was just mandatory health insurance similar to what the auto industry has on us, but now that the bill is being revealed, it is so much more and truly threatens to give big pharma more power not to mention ushering codex ailmentarius into this country. It will be a complete loss of our health freedom.

And the most infuriating thing they have SO successfully told us……….Women the natural way your body works and your fertility are something to be hated and suppressed. Please take our pharmaceuticals that make your normally functioning reproductive organs malfunction. Oh, and when you get breast cancer later in life it’s probably the drugs fault but we won’t admit that or warn you about it. When you go off our drugs after years and try to conceive, you might be infertile too, oh well, we will make more money off of our crazy fertility treatments so we don’t mind. We also won’t tell you how our drugs ruin your libido, make you gain weight, make your thyroid screwed up and damage your body’s natural ability to find a suitable mate. Oh, and some of our drugs cause early abortions too, but you won’t realize it so don’t even worry about it. It’s not like you need to know what’s going on in your own body. We’ll prescribe these drugs for just about every female ailment known to man too, without bothering to look at and resolve underlying issues. We can’t be bothered with REALLY helping you. Our drugs help you to be sexually available to your husband every single day of the month without having to worry about whether or not you’re fertile, (and we really like that idea.)

Shannon, we are on the SAME page – how twisted, sad and screwed up!!!!!!!!!! If couples “got” all that and still chose the drugs, that would be crazy enough, but the extra sad thing is that most just don’t have a clue and instead think that going on these drugs is “normal” and just “what you do”. And guess what? I was one of them for years before I learned the Truth.

My husband had to have emergency surgury in October to remove a monster gall stone, it was the size of a golf ball, that was taking up over half the gall bladder and had wedged itself on it’s way out in the duct and was cutting off the bile duct from the intestines. Well needless to say we had to have it removed since it wasn’t passing naturally and he was turning yellow. When they asked him if he was on any meds they were shocked to hear he wasn’t, he’s only 41 I’d be shocked if he was. After the surgury they were explaining what type of symptoms he might have to look forward to but then told us not to worry since they had drugs that would help him through it. I promptly emailed Kelly and she was gracious enough to point me in the right direction for info. Thanks Kelly for all you do to keep us informed and on our toes on issues.

My dear sister is in her last year in school for Veterinary Medicine. Today she is writing her Medical Board Exams so I wish her much luck. We had a huge discussion about the vaccines, adjuvents and virus mutations. With her knowledge she believes that the side effects are minimal compared to the diseases. I asked her about adjuvents in vaccines and she did mention that they can cause cancer. In animals they give adjuvented vaccines lower in the limb area so if cancer appears they can cut off the limb.

Hmmm.

I think I would rather catch the flu and suffer with flu like symptoms than have cancer in the injected arm and have to have it cut off. Just my thoughts…

I love that you’re bringing this up. I’m always dumbfounded when I’m around people who get most of their health information from the news and mainstream magazines. You put it in to words well, that’s exactly what’s shouted every day from those sources!

Real research and education can give us so much peace that we have much more energy for things like cooking from scratch :)

Hi – great article (as usual!!).

I have been jumping around your website looking for the source to buy the Fermeneted CLO. Little help? Thank Kelly, and keep up the good work.

It’s like you are sitting next to me – thanks for the quick response.
But, it still does not show anything. The Fats/Oils header is blank underneath (doesn’t even say “No Items…”).

Please e-mail me separately so we don’t take up valuable real estate in this post which is not about CLO :)

Thanks for sharing this. I used to be a health-care industry and science editor for Bloomberg News in San Francisco, and reading all those medical studies and following the antics of Big Pharma closely cured me of ever wanting to rely on them for my health. Emergency medicine, sure, if I’m ever in an accident, heaven forbid, but maintaining my health is definitely up to me; it is not on the radar screen of pharmaceutical companies, who are seeking to make us all patients to create stable revenue streams for them.

This is a great reminder to me of how much my understanding of health and disease has changed — matured — since I discovered Weston A. Price and nutrient-dense traditional foods and cooking. My whole attitude about health has changed. The foundation is, for sure, good nutrition and secondarily other good lifestyle habits such as sufficient rest, exercise, etc. What we put into our mouths is the raw material for our brains and bodies; how could it be otherwise? How could we think that pumping artificial, nutrient-deficient junk — filler — down our throats could lead to vibrant health? And yet for many, eating is about stuffing in the calories as cheaply as possible. “Pay the farmer, or pay the doctor” has become my maxim. Not that I make “perfect” choices every time, every day, but I am much more mindful of what goes in my mouth. I find I don’t even like eating out that much because, aside from fancy recipes and creative food pairings to be enjoyed, I find I can make better quality and equally tasty food at home for much less (even buying organic), and I know what goes in it, and I know it is building my health.
Keep up the good work!

I’m a writer for Natural News, and there is a lot of information there about the lies propagated by the pharma industry. It’s really helped open my eyes to the idea that as drugs are manufactured so are illnesses. Our food is manufactured, our sickness is manufactured, our treatments are manufactured. And what’s more, they are all manufactured by the same industry. It’s so obvious once you do a little digging, but still most of us are still left in that dark as to why we’re sick and why the “treatments” aren’t effective.

The sad part is, although Natural News does a wonderful job of exposing Big Pharma, many readers there still follow a vegan/vegetarian diet – which is just another invention of modern medicine.

Hi Elizabeth, I love Natural News! I share your frustration that so many people who have awakened to the disastrous legacy of the pharmaceutical industry still follow vegetarianism. As a former vegetarian myself, I understand where they’re coming from. As we get the word out, let’s hope more of them will be open-minded enough to consider a nutrient-dense, traditional diet.

Jeanmarie, it’s good to hear from someone who came out of vegetarianism into a Weston A. Price diet! I know that’s not always an easy road. Have you read Lierre Keith’s “The Vegetarian Myth?” I haven’t read the full book yet, but I’ve heard her speak on two different podcasts and it was so thoroughly informative. I’m looking forward to reading the entire book soon. Even though I’ve never been a vegetarian, I think as an advocate of WAP living, it’s an important perspective to gain.

But I do try and write some WAP-friendly articles on Natural News to get the word out any way I can. Coconut oil articles always get a great response, and I was even able to publish a raw milk article there recently that was well-received by some. If I can get one person to try out traditional foods, I consider it a success!

Shelia – google fermented cod liver oil and you’ll get Green Pastures – that’s the company we all get our fermented cod liver oil from. Or you could goodle Green Pastures and get the same website. There’s only one company that sells Fermented CLO and it’s Green Pastures.

Tina, Sheila could do that, but I would appreciate anyone going through my site if possible so I get at least a little bit from it.

Sheila, I’ll email you. :)

Thanks, Kelly

Hi Elizabeth, I haven’t read Lierre Keith’s book yet but I have also listened to a couple of interviews and read an excerpt. It’s definitely on my shortlist of books to read next. (I’m still working on Good Fats, Bad Fats, as well as The Omnivore’s Dilemma!)

Could you contact me privately? jaytee3 at mac.com.
Thanks,
Jeanmarie

Hi Kelly,

I saw this article title in my rss feed a few days ago and rolled my eyes thinking it was cnn or something. It was so refreshing to realize it was from you and would actually be something I agreed with!!

Kelly, I just noticed WFN is having a sale through Monday – you can write a litle piece on them with a link and maybe help everyone out? I would never have known about them if it weren’t for your coconut oil article.

Thanks for another great one, Kelly.

My hubby works at Walmart in the dairy & frozen sections (ironically, we have our own cows). He is always flabbergasted by the myriad illnesses and “syndromes” people have. And since he’s a lowly Walmart associate, they dismiss most of his product recommendations. If they only knew the truth! And the stories he comes home with!! BTW, Walmart just sells what people want. If people wanted butter, cream, etc., that’s what Walmart would sell.

He even heard an NPR interview with some doctor a few years ago. The doc stated that they didn’t know how to build natural immunity! So why do rely on (most) doctors for health advice??

Hi Kristen,

That’s a good question for sure…

Between all of us we will continue to get the word out about Real Food, so soon stores WILL stock more of the good stuff!

BTW, there’s no such thing as a “lowly job” – a job done well, with integrity, and always looking out for how to help others is as valuable as any work we can do. :)

Wow, I love the pic of all your kids, you’re extra blessed!
