Today I'm sharing a few pictures of our recent wine tasting trip up North in Traverse City, Michigan with some great friends, and I'll show you a very sad picture, too.

Robert, Natalie, Theresa, Bill, Kent & I – there was a hat contest so Natalie got us some to wear, but as you can see here, I'm SO not a hat person!

The first vineyard we visited was Ciccone, which is owned by Madonna's father. Natalie said their balsamic vinegar is amazing. I'm pretty picky about my balsamics, so I'll let you know what I think…

Check out this gorgeous vineyard which overlooks the Grand Traverse Bay.

This one was my favorite.

Another favorite.

Another great shot of a vineyard and the Bay.

Here's the sad picture I mentioned. The friends we went with love gambling, so even though it's not our thing, we went along to the casino and had fun. But look what is in EVERY bathroom there. Obviously a lot of older people visit casinos, but so many are diabetic that they need a sharps container in every bathroom? How sad is THAT?

- Want healthy wine?! Read about this keto/no sugar wine here. “ALL our wines are from abroad. We don’t have any wines from the states because of what your friends experience. Wines in the U.S. are industrially farmed and there isn’t a tradition of clean, organic, artisan farming in America. In Europe, vines are older and winemaking is cleaner.”

How sad.
We have friends in Traverse. We’ll need to reconnect. 🙂

Black Star was our favorite, and where we got our glasses from. Yes, that last picture is very sad…..

You’re all too sweet to say it, but my sister told me, “I cannot BELIEVE you put that picture of yourself online!!!”
I told her that next I’m showing you all my RED “Sally Jesse Raphael” glasses from the 80’s. Which, by the way, weren’t even in style then!
Remember when I showed you my mullet? https://kellythekitchenkop.com/2011/05/monday-morning-mix-up-53011.html
Scary stuff, eh? 🙂

That looks amazing!! Well, not the box for the sharps (that’s crazy sad!!) but the wine, anyway!

I LOVE Traverse City! Will have to check out the balsamic. Interesting idea.

First, loving the glassbottle. I’m not QUITE the lush for that contraption, but oh the sentiment!
Also, that may be the first time I’ve seen a sharps box in any general public area. :/
