Mom and CarlThis is Kelly's assistant, Jill, filling in today for Kelly. As most of you know, Kelly's mother was diagnosed with advanced cancer in early June, though she was expected to be with the family for several months. Sadly, she passed away yesterday. This has come as a terrible shock to Kelly and the entire family, though they do have peace knowing she is truly happy and pain free now and wouldn't choose to come back if she could. Kelly so appreciates the love and support shown to her by you, her wonderful readers, and wanted you to know she will get back with you when she can. Thank you so much for your prayers!

I am sorry that you lost your Mom, she has a very warm, very pretty smile ,you must have learned your caring ways from her and that is something comforting to always hold on too! Hi Kelly, sending you lots of love. I’m a long time follower of yours and I’ve been following your story closely because it hits close to home. We’ve been going through similar experiences. I lost my mom on July 2nd from bone marrow cancer, that she had been diagnosed with a few months prior. It happened so fast, and it still doesn’t make sense, I don’t think she even knew she was going to die … and neither did her doctors. I never thought I’d be saying goodbye to my mom at such a young age. Can’t and won’t say much to console you right now, because I do know how you feel and my heart breaks for you! Hold onto your family and your kids, they will help ease the pain during this time. Please take care and know that I am thinking of you. Deepest sympathy and love.

I’m just re-reading all these comments now, as I couldn’t really digest them at the time, and I’ve got tears running down my face as I take in all your love here. You, my faithful reader friends, mean so much to me. I’m feeling sad as Christmas draws near, but reading this has lifted me up.

      Blessings to you all!

And Emily, I’m saying a prayer for you right now, because I know that 5 months sure doesn’t feel like it, it’s all still pretty raw (*over* 5 months since your Mom’s passing). Big hugs to you.

      Love, Kel

So sorry, Kelly. I know when you lose your Mom, you lose your best friend. May God give you comfort as only He can. Praying for you and your family.

    from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

    Kelly,

My deepest sympathy. My mom was diagnosed with endometrial cancer two weeks ago today and goes in for surgery tomorrow. While things look promising, it’s such a scary journey when you hear that “C” word. I will be praying for comfort and peace for your entire family. I don’t think we are ever ready to say goodbye to our moms.
