Do you know someone who has been diagnosed with Autism? Watch this amazing story of Steve & Melissa and their twin boys, Ben & Tyler. Through it all they've shown unbelievable patience, selflessness, and determination to help their son.
They've had Tyler in this study, Early Social Interaction Project, through the University of Michigan. They also follow the DAN (Defeat Autism Now) protocol, a popular approach to treating autism.
More Information:
- Melissa's blog post with Tyler's supplements listed
- Info on Tyler's special diet. (He's gluten free, casein free, and soon to be yeast free.)
- Read about the GAPS Diet for treating Autism – you might say this is a more “politically incorrect” version of the DAN diet…

Would you tell me what is CLO and NT? Thanks, JOY
Kelly the Kitchen Kop says
Hi Anna,
Thank you for sharing a little about your experience with us.
Regarding CLO – I think that taking it consistently could help so many people with so many issues…but since docs often don’t know about its health benefits, they rarely tell patients about it, so people don’t take it…frustrating!

I am an adult with Asperger's Syndrome, dx'd over a year ago. While I will not say I am 'healed' from autism, I will claim that CLO has greatly improved my mental clarity and anxiety levels. If I forget to take CLO for more than 3 days, the anxiety comes back.
I am not fully on any diet, though I do follow the NT protocol with regards to grains & legumes and eat good meats & fats. I have tested negative a couple of times for gluten intolerance. Dairy isn't an issue as long as it is raw goat milk.
