I have a friend who never vaccinated her children and they got Whooping Cough last winter. She actually regrets her decision seeing and going through the agony of that disease for 8 constant weeks. It makes me believe that there are vaccines that are very necessary, but some that aren’t (you won’t catch me or my family getting a flu vaccine). I am just feeling sick about not researching more in the last 5 years when this information was presented to me so that I could keep my children safe.

You are braver than I am to allow your son to receive any vaccines. My son had that stupid Hep B shot at birth, and his 2 month vaccinations. I had a sick feeling in my gut at that appointment though, and started researching afterwards. I kept thinking about an acquaintance I had seen at a wedding reception when I was about 6 months pregnant. She went on and on, and on some more about the evils of vaccinations. At first I found what she said interesting, but after a few hours my mind was screaming “Shut up, already!” By the end of the evening, I felt sorry for her child (she stopped vaccinating). The problems with vaccinations are real though, and now I’m so thankful for my intuition, and the rememberance of her rant that led me to investigate the subject further. My son has never received another vaccine.

Recently my sister ran into a former co-worker, who’s nephew died the day after his 12 month shots. She knows I don’t vaccinate and called me, in disbelief, when she realized it really happens. The first thing I said after she told me the story is that the medical community would never acknowledge that his death was vaccine related, even though he was 100% normal when they stuck those needles into his body. She immediately replied that the coroner had ruled “natural causes”. Yeah right… how freaking natural is it for a 1 year old boy to get deathly ill within hours after receiving his shots, and DIE within 24 hours? Turns out they added the flu shot to the regularly scheduled vaccinations that day. One too many.

Sorry for the long post, but I have one more anecdote to share. I always knew that my aunt’s best friend’s baby died way back in the day (early 1970s) from SIDS. When I started to question the safety of vaccines, I called my aunt and asked if her friend ever had any thoughts about what caused her baby’s death. My aunt immediately told me that her friend always blamed it on his shots, because he got them just a few days before he died. I hadn’t said ONE THING about vaccinations to her when I asked this question, and I was stunned and convinced of the dangers by her answer.

I believe our bodies and immune systems are AMAZING, especially when supported with a real food diet. I choose not to interfere further with my son’s natural immunity (19 months old now). I still sometimes agonize about those first shots I allowed him to receive. I can only pray that there will be no long term damage.
