It’s that crazy time of the week when you entice us with your links and comments to go check out your blogs and your great REAL FOOD WEDNESDAY tips and ideas or recipes! (Visit that link if you’re new and want to learn more about this blog carnival.) Remember, if you’re a blogger, you’ll draw some good traffic to your site by participating! (This is how I built up my traffic in the beginning.)
CAN YOU HELP?
1. It’s not easy for me to catch them all on my own, and I’d really like everyone to play fair, so if you see any posts that don’t link back to this post (blog carnival etiquette you know!), can you email me please? Kelly@KellytheKitchenKop.com. If you don’t know how, I explain it at this REAL FOOD WEDNESDAY link. (I hate playing hardball and removing links, so let’s all be good to the others who are bringing more traffic to your blogs with their links by doing the same, OK?)
2. Also, PLEASE let me know if you see a recipe posted that is blatantly not Real Food. Someone who is striving and on the journey is one thing (as we all are), but if it’s really bad (canned bread, Velveeta, margarine, Egg Beaters, unfermented soy or any other fake food), please tell me so I can remove it. (If I’ve removed your post, I hope there are no hard feelings, but people come to this post for Real Food ideas, and I don’t want to disappoint.)
3. I hope you’ll retweet and stumble this post and also any sites you visit – this will get more exposure to all of us, thank you!
4. Don’t have a blog? We still want to hear from you! Please leave your tips or recipes in the comments.
Thank you!
You’re up, and we can’t wait to see your stuff!

Today I’m sharing a giveaway I currently have running for a free copy of the Against the Grain Ebook! It’s a great resource, full of grain free, real food recipes that don’t require bizzare ingredients!
Thanks for hosting Kelly!
Whaaat, June? Get out! Well, the weather is just starting to warm in my area, and I’ve been out digging up some primo roots – salsify. It’s a humble thing, as are most roots, but so lovely when cooked up with respect and love – in this case, with a touch of elder-infused honey.
Sharing a quick summer recipe this week. Using some leftover rice. I always cook extra, so there is always (most of the time) some left over. Perfect hot or cold.
This is my first time to link up – Gnocchi w/ Quattro Formaggi. Sooo delicious.
I really enjoy your blog. It’s so informative. Thanks for all your hard work.
Elisabeth
Today I’m sharing Nutty Nutrition: Making the Most of Seeds and Nuts. I’m also including recipes for some of my favorite Crispy Seeds and Nuts. I love keeping a few on hand for snacking, nut butters, and tossing into other dishes.
Thank you Kelly!
Best wishes,
Dori
Shh! I have a dirty little secret…in my salt!
I am new to all of this and hope that I have linked correctly. My blog is about organic gardening, not so much real food recipes, so I hope that’s ok to include here. If not, someone please let me know. I am looking for followers to help me along my journey in my first organic garden, receiving advice wherever anyone can provide. My current post doesn’t link back to this blog, but I’ll put a post up to check out this blog address. I’ve read the rules, but am still having trouble understanding all the details. I’ll get it!
Please follow if you’re interested in this topic. I love this blog and appreciate the opportunity to spread the word about organic food!
Ok, so I finally figured out how to link back here on my blog and it is done on my “Darn wild animals” post. I accidentally linked to my home page here…that won’t happen again. Just click on the post mentioned here and at the end you’ll find a link back here. Someone let me know if my blog is not fitting through this carnival…I don’t want to do anything inappropriate! Looking forward to getting some readers who can offer advice or just read for fun!
Just wanted to let everyone know about this very clever way to share money as well as info on our blogs. All the techy types are using it on their blogs these days over in Europe, we need to get more recipes and food lovers in the community so that we can support each other. Check it out: http://www.flattr.com
They are calling it Social Micropayments–what a great idea right? Basically you put in say 2 Euros a month. Any site that is participating will have flattr buttons. If you like the content you flattr it. Your 2 Euros will be divided up between all of the posts.
I linked up here for the first time today…I posted my weekly menu & an update on our switch to Traditional Foods (we are entering our 2nd month!).
My recipe is a New Zealand favorite, but can easily be adapted all over the world–Kumara Chips!
Mine is just about a much increasing love of eggs, both chicken and duck!

I posted today about a great video from Sandor Katz about fermentation. He demonstrates how to make some basic sauerkraut in this video and demystifies the process. I was lucky enough to check it out from my local library, but even if you can’t find it there I think it is well worth the $25 to purchase!
Today I am sharing an article on the latest research about how calcium containing acid mediums are now a no-go for soaking our grains. I hope everyone will read it and spread the word so we can still make sure we are getting the most out of our grains.
I posted our Meal Where Your Mouth Is Challenge. A restricted diet can seem monotonous, so we shared some of our strategies to make the most with fewer ingredients. Thanks for hosting!
