I’m not sure about you, but I’m so glad it’s Wednesday! The weeks just keep rolling by. I’m about finished with my major foraging this year, but I did finally find a stand of wild plum bushes. And instead of cooking up yet another batch of jam, I decided to create something different – Wild Plum Ketchup. But you don’t need wild plums to make it, any stone fruit would do.
I have discovered a new autumn fascination: kabocha! I had to share the love.
My post this week is about the Weston A. Price Foundation conference. Wise Traditions 2010 is a great conference! I give seven reasons to attend it. I could give many more.
Something a little different this week -homemade cat food. I guess you could eat it too, if you wanted.
Bacon-wrapped meatloaf this week – gluten-free and using pastured pork and grass-fed beef. Yum!
Looking forward to visiting all these interesting links! I’ve posted about roasting all kinds of vegetables – an easy and delicious way to take advantage of autumn’s bounty! Thanks for hosting
Hi Kelly!!
Like Butter I too am glad it’s alreayd Wednesday!! I am contributing a post for an oysters dish that should surely be a holiday edition, Oysters Bienvielle!!! Thanks again for hosting!!
I love no knead dough. I tried this out with pizza dough and it worked! Came out nice and crispy. Next time I want to add some Parmesan and garlic to the dough right before I add the pizza toppings.
thanks for hosting! Hope you are doing well. Haven’t seen you in awhile
I had a fresh veggie juice at my local healthfood store yesterday and had a conversation with the juice bar attendant about the merits of raw veggies. This blog weighs in on that issue.
Thank you for putting the subscribe button at the top, very good idea!
I’m speaking this week about kids, real food, and good health. What do children need to be healthy, thriving people? How nutritionally-literate are we as parents?
I shared some general information about GMOs and their harmful effects on our society. Thanks for hosting!
Posting this week about the practice of hiding vegetables in kids’ food (vs. being up front with them about what they’re eating). Also some annoying and offensive Chef Boyardee commercials.

Today is the start of a new series on my Real Food Wednesday posts! I’m going to be talking about simple goals to get (and keep) real food in your diet. Today’s post is all about eating more greens in a simple and easy way.
Another great week of interesting posts to read. Thanks for the carnival.
I don’t know where my link went! I re-linked – and noticed I hadn’t linked my post directly to this one – it was to your main blog. Hope that fixed the problem.
oops – never mind – I refreshed my computer screen when it was offline – now I linked twice… SORRY!!! (Feel free to delete these comments and my second linky – feeling sheepish now…)
Featuring a guest post from Passionate Fitness called, “Why Dieting Isn’t Complicated.” I’m interested to see if my readers agree with this one.
That sounds interesting, thanks for sharing. I’ll have to come visit your site!

Kelly, did you know there is a difference between Cottage Pie and Shepherd’s Pie. After doing my research this week I found out there is a difference. Regardless both are still comfort foods for our family

Hi Kelly – thanks for hosting Real Food Wednesdays! My contribution is 14 ways to eliminate sugar cravings – especially as we are starting to go into the holiday seasons where sugar is more and more prevalent than ever – if that’s possible.
Hello! I’m sharing how to make the BEST tortilla chips EVER. The secret: don’t start with tortillas. Come on by to see what you SHOULD use!

Been a fan of your blog for a while now Kelly. Thanks for all you do!
Is it my computer? Didn’t there used to be everyone’s links above the post? If so, I can’t see them anymore.
This is my first time here and I’m so excited to see all these recipes! Thanks for the great link-up!
I love reading what everyone is thinking about — and cooking. Thanks so much for this!
I made a perfect autumn pie tonight and am sharing it on my blog. It is as easy as… yep… pie. Gluten-free, crisp pecan crust with creamy pumpkin-like texture filling, but made with applesauce! (If you haven’t made your own homemade applesauce, you can also click the recipes tab to see how easy it is to make in the slow-cooker!) Happy Fall!
Kelly,
After a long hiatus from the computer, I am back!
I do not have a post for today, BUTTTTTT, next week, I will be writing about why SOURDOUGH, is the answer to the gluten issue for Celiacs.
Yes, you read that correctly!
I have personal proof…….more next week.
Paula
Thanks for hosting Kelly!
I’m sharing a simple cheese quiche recipe, only 3 ingredients! (Not counting salt and pepper).
Welcome to all you first-timers!!!
Kelly
Hi Kelly, I’m sending out a food S.O.S…. I spent way too long yesterday trying to find a peach cobbler recipe that I originally found through Real Food Wednesday blogs this week or last week. It was very simple with very few, real food ingredients. If anyone here has a simple peach cobbler recipe in their blog could you please post the link? (Is that okay, Kelly?) Now that I’ve mentioned peach cobbler dh is salivating and wants to make one with tons of sugar, etc. Help!
All I remember is to melt 2 T butter in the pan first and that you cook fresh/frozen peaches in a pan until soft…
Thanks! Beth
Hello there, joining here for the first time. I like real food too! Happy Weekend!
Beth, sure it’s OK! I hope someone who remembers that recipe sees this and can help you!
Kel
