Hi Kel! I AM first because the first link is YOURS and that doesnt count! lol–I am so excited to be running my first giveaway EVER online. I used to run national sweepstakes and sales promotion programs in a “previous life” but it is so much more fun to be doing it for myself and giving away a prize that I so believe in! Of course, we are talking about a spot in your Real Food for Rookies Class that has been much anticipated! Best of luck with the class enrollment. I know everyone who participates is going to get a whole lot of great information! Thanks for sharing your space with us on real food wednesday! Hugs! Alex
Happy Real Food Wednesday, everyone. I was so super excited to find a jackpot of wild raspberries while hiking in the mountains last week. I could have stuffed myself on the spot, but instead brought them home and served them over ice cream!
Hi Kelly!
I just wanted to drop you a comment that I LOVE your website! I’ve always enjoyed your articles (posted from twitter or linked from other sites). I’ve slowly made changes to my diet from SAD to Real the past 2 years and 27 days ago I went 90% Primal (lost 14lbs and a rash that plagued me for 4 years!) and it’s been the greatest thing ever! Before, while trying to go slowly, I think it really hindered me from breaking free completely, I was dragging the SAD ball n chain! (Obviously this made me sad lol) But now I feel like a free girl! I no longer crave those disasterous fake foods. After I lose the remaining 80lbs of course I will relax a little, but even now I’m enjoying every minute of life!
Thanks for your hard work and deication to spreading the Real Food Truth & Cure!

First time trying this! Thanks so much for helping all us “Real Food” bloggers get the word out! xo
This week I share a little about a slightly frustrating talk with a reporter about local food, who seemed to be missing the forest for the trees. All she wanted to talk about was organics…
Jello from the store is one of the nastiest, most artificial concoctions you can buy. This short videoblog shows you how to make healthy jello from the fresh fruit of your choice! GREAT lunchbox idea!
Thanks for hosting Kel!
So nice to be a part of Real Food Wednesday!
This week I posted about trying to incorporate more fat into my diet…and why I’m finding it so hard to do!
My post discusses ideas on how to get your kids interested in eating more vegetables, along with sharing why it’s crucial to focus on good fats along with that.
Hi Kelly! Glad to see your class is ready for the world! Hope you are doing well.
I left the Bacon and Cheddar Corn bread up for everyone. I have made this without bacon too when I forgot to make some. Either way you make it, this is tasty!
Great information and great recipes! I’m always eager to come back, thanks!!!
My main ingredient, cantaloupe, in my recipe comes straight out of my garden. I just love this time of year.
Thanks for the carnival.
Aren’t you tired of hearing how healthy vegetable oil are? Me, too! Especially when the evidence points to these oils causing cancer, which is what today’s post is about.
We made some fruit leather as a special treat or for their lunchboxes.
Still working on getting my kids to eat better and less store bought. This week my 11-year-old surprised me by making his own soup!
Thanks for hosting Real Food Wednesday, there are some great ideas to be found here.

With potatoes and zucchini needing to be used before I head off to IFBC, I made a pot of Potato-Zucchini Soup, which also uses broth (either chicken or veggie will work), onion, garlic, and some seasonings. Super easy and so savory! And, it’s gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free for folks who have those intolerances.
Thanks for hosting, Kelly! So many great links here once again.

This week is about changes I am making (or trying to make) in my diet and my hair care. Enjoy!
“Yeah, but does it WORK?” is the question I always get when I tell people I make my own deodorant. Well, this weekend I gave it a real test. Come see the results and my recipe!
This week’s post, a nourishing and wonderful tasking fresh quinoa salad~yes lots of protein!
Hi Real Food Wednesday Gang!
I feel behind in everything this week and my weight loss has suffered because of it. So I’m asking for advice! How do you keep healthy when you’re super busy?
It’s a great time to use those fresh garden vegetables with a “Summer Salad”. This one has colorful beets, mixed greens, feta cheese and crispy pumpkin seeds. It’s topped with a home-made dressing and it’s a hit whenever I serve it!
Hello, everyone! Anyone else with an abundance of eggs? Anyone looking for more variety in preparing eggs? You’re going to want to check out my post today: 15 scrumptious real food dishes using eggs! If you have ideas to add, I’m all ears. As a bonus, many of my ideas are also probiotic.
I’m excited about the Tooth Cleaning Soap Giveaway on my blog right now because it’s the only tooth cleaner that I’m not worried about my three year old eating… or applying as chapstick by mistake! It’s made with real foods, thus it must be good for you!
I came up with a super quick, raw, snack that has chocolate.
Mix equal parts agave nectar or honey with coconut oil. Approx 1 T each. Add approx 1 tsp vanilla. Stir in cocoa powder a tsp at a time until you get the taste you like. Cut up some fruit (bananas are my favorite with this) and drizzle chocolate sauce over and stir to completely coat. Sprinkle with chopped crispy nuts. Very fast and indulgent.
Caramel sauce made with honey. Delicious on homemade ice-cream, in a latte, drizzled on apples… you get my drift
Perfect for this time of year as we start to crave more autumn flavors.
Just posted on my blog linking back to you!
I just left my link! I’m totally new, so I hope I did it right. I’m going to go check out some of the other links now… thanks! =)
Hi! I linked to my blog post about my frustration with the food industry especially after the food recalls. It’s not just about food anymore. It’s about human rights and human safety. I’m excited to read other peoples’ posts! Happy Wednesday! We’re halfway through the week!
Wow, what amazing posts this week! I wish I could stay up all night reading through everyone’s!! (I vowed that I would make sleep a top priority over blogging, reading, and learning from everyone).
This week I’m sharing my adapted version of Barefoot Contessa’s creme brulee recipe (no refined sugar) plus a dairy free variation using coconut milk.
Thanks for hosting.
Hi Kelly,
This week I am sharing a recipe that I have made many times and is a hit every time. It uses up those summer zucchini and uses sprouted flour. Bet you can’t eat just one!
I have 3 more primal/paleo smoothie recipes to share with you – Enjoy!
(I tried to post this earlier, but it wouldn’t work. Here’s hoping it works this time!)
Posting a little late, but my post this week is about making school food not only healthful, but also sustainable, chemical-free and ethical. An excerpt:

I’m finally answering Ashley, way up at comment #21… (I’ve been trying to fix that “reply to” comment plugin, but noooooooo, I can’t get the stupid thing to work.)
Ashley, I have two words for you to help with weight loss when you’re crazy busy: “plan ahead”. Do I always do that? Nope. But that’s your answer anyway.
Kelly
