We talk a lot about Weston Price. Few folks know that Sally Fallon originally served on the board of the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation. Named after Dr. Price and Dr. Francis Pottenger, most well known for his study, Pottenger Cats. This post is about someone who was actually treated by Dr. Pottenger. He is alive and well today and is a multi-millionaire blogger and writer (though nutrition is not his niche).
Hey Kelly, Thank you for hosting us!
This is my first time participating in Real Food Wednesday and I can’t wait to see what everyone is cooking.
All the best to you and your family! ~m. ((hugs!))

I’m sharing a little Food Art from our high summer meal – full of veggies from our garden and the ranch where MacGyver works, in addition to a pastured chicken, roasted to perfection. Amazing, and beyond words!

An update on a personal adventure on the GAPS diet.
My post talks about why beef liver does not taste as bad as people believe. I gave it a chance for the first time recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not follow a recipe and did not really know what I was doing. But, I used my imagination and it turned out great. Due to the nutritional profile and inexpensiveness, liver is about to become one of my favorite foods!
Thank you for hosting again, I am enjoying your blog! I don’t always have time to comment but I do read! Thanks!
My dish is full of garden goodness! I love this time of year when I plan my menu around what has ripened in our garden or from our CSA.
Thanks for the carnival.

I’ve never made pickles before, well, not in any quantity and not with these varieties! And these were from my very own patio garden, which makes them all the more special.
While I’m not at a point that I can contribute to Real Food Wednesdays, I LOVE this entry. I’m always picking up new blogs to subscribe to. Today I discovered Antiquity Oaks and what a delight that is! Thanks, Kelly, for creating the opportunity for me and others like me to learn so much!!
We made zucchini spanakopita since we have an abundance of zucchini right now
.
I linked up a couple super easy recipes involving bananas that are very kid-friendly! Took me a few tries to get a good picture of these, I usually eat them all before remembering to.
When you have fresh zucchini coming out of the garden, you have to be creative to use it (or freeze it) almost every day or it gets away from you….so my contribution is another use for that prolific veggie.

Hi Kelly,
Thanks so much for hosting Real Food Wednesday!
I actually intended to put this post up last week. Oops! But here is my progress with another week on Eat Fat, Lose Fat. I feel like I’m learning something every week! Or at least getting some good reminders. This week I right about indulging after asking yourself, “Is this worth it.”
Lacto-fermented sweet pickles – sweeted with honey or maple syrup instead of refined sugar. This year we found a way to make them crispy, crunchy.
Hello to Kelly and all! I’m sharing how to make homemade bourbon vanilla extract. So simple and so amazing.

Linking to the recipe for my husband’s super-delicious slow-food chicken nuggets. They look very similar to fast-food nuggets, but without all the gluten and other nasties!
Thanks for hosting!!
