I shared a recipe for “triple lemonade” – lemonade made with local honey and lemon flavored herbs (lemon verbena, lemon thyme, and wildcrafted lemon balm). It’s the perfect drink for summer and a great delivery system for relaxing herbs!
Hi! This week I’ve got a recipe that I saw on an indian cooking show for chickpea and yogurt batter, which I used to fry veggies, but I think it has even more possibilities. It cooked up really nicely, and is a great option for people like my neices and nephew, who can’t eat eggs.
Hey Kel! Thanks for sharing your space with us on this real food wednesday! My article today is all about a great group of moms that I just joined who cook meals for families dealing with illness. It is a great way to show gratitude and share the real food love and I highly recommend it as a service vocation for all real foodies. Big hugs! Alex
Hi Kelly – hope you are having a great week, thanks for hosting RFW! My post is about a topic many people already hear about a lot, due to its being in the news so regularly. But I tried to apply a thorough treatment of the history of pasteurization, health benefits of raw milk, and other useful data to this very misunderstood topic. Today’s post is Part I, and it was supposed to be marked for Wednesday’s date, which is July 21st, but instead it says July 20th. Oh well, I’m too tired to fix it. Check back on my site for Part II on Thursday!
Eating low carb – even grain free and missing that fried chicken? No more! Here’s how to enjoy this fabulous Southern dish!
Hi Kelly, haven’t seen you in awhile! Hope you are doing well. How is your ecourse coming along?
This is a great easy recipe that can be made entirely from local fresh ingredients. If you have a hard time finding rabbit, try looking in the farm section on craigslist.org.
Good morning Kelly and thanks for hosting RFW! This weeks post continues the fish theme and is a great recipe for Fillet of Sole Almondine. Its a 5* recipe and its Gluten Free!!
This week I’m sharing my method for preparing perfect quinoa (no matter how long you pre-soak it for)- not the mushy mess you get following package directions.
Thanks for hosting Kelly!
I shared my favorite skillet meal of the week/month. Not quick, but very easy.

Despite gaining a little weight this week my husband Joel and I had another good week following the EAT FAT, LOSE FAT diet.
I’ve been taking it easy with blogging this summer, but I’m back with one of my all time favorite summer recipes. Enjoy!
Lacto-fermented dill relish is a great condiment for summer foods. I like to make it one jar at a time.
New here and loving the site. Thanks!
The recipe I shared is SO GOOD. Bacon-wrapped, marinated chicken topped with Gruyere cheese and Italian salsa. I would make it again right now if I had the ingredients. Oh, so yummy. You just have to try it though, you can’t take my word for it.
Here is a picture of what I got with my first week of a CSA share. I’d love ideas of how to use everything.
Youza all your stuff looks so good guys!
Welcome to all those who are here for the first time.
Outlaw Farmer: how cool that you can find anything on Craig’s List!
Wendy: Class prep is moving along, but DANG, I find out more things I DON’T know how to do almost hourly! It’s getting so close and I’m excited to begin! Thanks for asking.
Off to check out all these great recipes!

The farmers market in Little Rock is bursting with flavor! I made Ginger Peach Gumbo today with mostly local ingredients.

This week I had a bunch of veggies needing to be used up in the fridge and freezer that don’t usually go together. A yummy ethnic West African stew was the result – frugal and delicious!
Not only does this weeks post include a great recipe for black bean brownies, but I give some basic tips on food for dancers.
My recipe is a simple salmon roasted in butter with some fresh herbs.
Posting late this week, but I’m sharing another installment in my series on children’s menus. The Daily Beast just ranked the 25 worst kids’ menu meals in America. But are there any good meals on kids’ menus? Let’s find out: Send me the children’s menus you see. Will they make the Hall of Shame? Or the Hall of Fame?
