FOR GENERAL QUESTIONS, BEFORE YOU EMAIL ME, PLEASE READ THIS:

I love helping others.  It’s why I began writing this blog in the first place.  It feels great when I may be able to make a small difference in someone’s world, whether it’s pointing them toward a closer friendship with God, or helping them become as healthy as they can be.

However, my email inbox is getting to be too much to handle, so I have a new plan:

1.  First, please try finding the answer to your question on my site. (That link takes you to a page that explains the easiest way to find something around here.)

2.  If that doesn’t work, did you try Googling it?

3.  If you’re still not able to find the answer you’re looking for, or if there is something specific I can help you with and you need a reply, the best way to ask a question (especially one that others might like to know or benefit from) is by posting it on my Facebook wall.  (NOT a direct message there unless you don’t want others to see it for whatever reason.)  Keep in mind that I don’t always check FB messages daily, but I’ll get to it as soon as I can.  (Or others might answer you first before I have a chance to pop in!)

4.  If it’s too personal to put “out there”, then feel free to email me, but I’m hoping people will at least try the other options first whenever possible, and then be patient with me.  Thank you for understanding!

Kelly,

I just sent an email to you. Please make sure it didn’t hit your spam folder (as email sometimes does).

Best,

Robert

Hi Kelly,

Did you see the e-mail going around re HR 857 and the attempt to outlaw organic farming? I hate getting a bunch of the same forwards, so will not include the entire thing. If you haven’t seen it, let me know.

I hope you can help spread the word; you have such a diverse readership, but all care about our food sources.

Thanks.
Mary

Hi Mary, I think you mean HR 875, right? Thanks for the suggestion, I’m including it in my “Monday Mix-up” post. :)

Shauna (and anyone else who wants to advise me?)
I’m planning to start cutting out starch (specifically white bread/flour) tomorrow morning to lose weight. I’m not planning on cutting out pasta just yet as I know that cutting out the bread will near kill me as it is!!!
I have been worrying about what to eat for lunch and would love to try your “tuna and avacado salad w/cashews on a bed of romaine” or “curry chicken salad” . Pls could you let me know the recipes for these and if anyone has any easy ideas for me to start with i’d be very grateful. I just want to have something else for my lunch than ‘a white bread sandwich’.
However i’m really fussy unfortunately and don’t like many vegetables. I love leeks, mushrooms, onions though.
Thanks very much : )

Hi Kelly,

I used to find info here on a couple of companies you recommended from whom to buy CLO. I can’t find them and when I follow the link from the CLO pages, it gets me to your paid sponsor link page and I find no CLO listing there.

Am I just missing the correct page somewhere, or have you stopped recommending a certain vendor?

Thanks, Mary

Hi Mary,
Out of respect to my sponsors, I now send readers to my resources page for CLO. Look under supplements. :)
Thanks, Kelly

Kelly, I hope it’s ok to ask this here but I can’t find your email……

I do’nt know if it’s just me, but there are no links under any category on your resource page, and I also just get the amazon homepage when I clicked on your amazon link…….help??!!

Hi Shannon,

The Amazon homepage is right, there should be a search box for you to type in whatever you’re looking for.

The resources page being blank for you tells me that you must have some sort of ad-blocker on your computer or something? I just went to double check and while there are a few blank ones (working on getting more sponsors), mostly it’s all full.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble, and I appreciate you trying to get into both those pages! Check on the ad-blocker, hopefully you can take that off (we need to be able to track the clicks), and then it will work.

I just purchased the large tub of beef tallow from U.S. Wellness meats following your links. Thanks so much for the information–I had been looking for a good source.

Maybe you answered my question on the blog–I did a search but couldn’t find it…

How do you store such a large amount? Given the current temps I was wondering if the temperature in my garage would be adequate or if it truly needed to be in the fridge or freezer. I would think traditionally it was stored at room temp. Thanks!

Hi Kelly, I’m a new fan, sent a friend request on FB b/c I have a question about yogurt. You say in your blog about yogurt making that “enzymes are killed using a yogurt maker.” What enzymes specifically? Are the probiotics left intact? If I’m using raw, organic, grass-fed milk will it still have all the benefits?

Thanks, Debra.
PS Just ordered a yogurt maker, then saw your post. Trying to glean thru all this info is very confusing.

Debra, I friended you, but I’m not sure if you asked the question on FB yet. If you don’t mind asking there, then more people can see the answer. Or you could go ask over at the yogurt post, too. Thanks! Kelly

Hello, I am looking to purchase some Bio-Kult from someone that lives close to Oregon City, OR. Do you or anyone else you know carry this?
I have some chickens, but they ate a soy feed. Should I not use them to make broth? Thanks Kristie

Kristie,
I don’t know where you can get Biokult by you, but you can get it online here: http://kellythekitchenkop.com/resources#supplements

The chickens are more of a concern as far as whether or not to eat them raw if they aren’t pasture-raised. You can still make broth with other chickens, but it won’t be as nutritious. If the chickens are out running around most of the day and eating bugs and stuff out in the sunshine, they can eat a little soy and be fine (although it’s not ideal), and better is organic soy so it’s non-GMO.

Hey Kelly, This is my 2nd post to ya tonight but I have been researching a program/ on-line Holistic Nutrition course where I could get certified to coach people as well. I’m starting to think that the best education I can give my self is from reading all the great books out there (Nourishing Traditions, Truly Cultured,etc.. DId you get “certified” to become a health coach? How did you get started? I really would love to be able to help parents with Autistic, ADHD, and other Candida related problems. I hate to see children being treated with pharm. drugs for something that can be cured with the correct diet . Can you point me in the right direction please? Thank you!

Hi Kelly, That is too funny that you would recommend that one because I came across that school yesterday and it is exactly what I’m looking for. I wanted to find a program that was in line with WAP and Sally Fallon. That is the one. My husband just gave me the OK to go ahead and sign up and he also is encouraging me to attend the conference next month. My biggest set back is that I don’t want to go by myself. I really don’t have any super health concious friends(yet):) that would be interested in going. Also, it is a 9 hr. drive for me so I would much rather fly. I live in south east MI. I am a little leary of traveling out there on my own. Any suggestions?

Drive over here and fly out with me (from GR) and I know someone looking for a roommate at the hotel, too!
Email me if you’re interested and I’ll tell you my itinerary: Kelly@KellytheKitchenKop.com.
