Lower Carb Tomato Soup

This tomato soup is lower in carbs than my original recipe, but just as delicious!
Servings: 7 cups

Ingredients

  • 32 oz. jar organic marinara sauce (I often use Kirkland/Costco brand)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup whole cream/whipping cream (make sure it's not ULTRA pasteurized!)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 scoop Perfect Supplements chicken broth powder (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic powder--add more to your taste (we like a lot)
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion powder--add more to your taste (we like a lot)
  • Sea salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: collagen and/or colostrum for extra nutrition!

Instructions

  • Mix everything together in a large pot and heat.
  • If your chicken broth is hot, mix the chicken broth powder with that before stirring into the soup, just so it dissolves easier.
  • Let simmer on low for a few minutes to let the flavors come together.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Note, for either of these you can also adapt it a little to turn it into a burrito sauce for regular burritos or to use in a burrito casserole.  Just add cumin, chili powder, or other seasonings as you wish to give it more of a taco flavor.
Either of these are good with sourdough bread, regular dinner rolls, or these keto dinner rolls!  All with lots of healthy butter of course.  :)
