What to Do with Turkey Leftovers, Saving Money on Real Food, Keeping Kids Busy While You Cook, and More!

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to you all! An extra big hug to those of you who aren’t with family or friends today for whatever reason – know that you are loved, by God and by me! Thank you for reading my stuff, and I really do consider each of you my friends. (I was just praying for you all this morning.)

Here’s a little hodge podge of old posts you may not have seen or other stuff I thought I’d share today in case you’re not working on a big dinner and need something to do:

  • So did I ever tell you how I used to have it all together, and often had my Christmas shopping done by the end of September? Yeah, not anymore. So I have to get going on that. When you do your shopping, your Amazon shopping to be specific, I have a BIG FAVOR to ask you. If you click into their site through this Amazon link (or anytime through the little Amazon shaped badge on the right), I’d reeeeeeally be thankful as I get a small commission on any sales you make through there – it costs exactly the same for you, though. This helps offset expenses to run this site – there’s always something not working right or something that needs upkeep around here, and I can’t blame those issues on the kids like I can around the house!
  • There are some BIG sales going on here at the blog tomorrow for Black Friday, so be sure to come back then!
  • Need some ideas for turkey leftovers? Try some of the chicken recipes at this post of main dish ideas that you can use leftover turkey in instead!
  • An oldie but a goodie: Eating Healthy Shouldn’t Cost You an Arm and a Leg and another: 12 Tips for Eating Healthy on a Budget.
  • It’s that time of year where you may be able to use the information in this post: Home Remedies for a Cold & Ear Ache / How to Avoid Colds, Flu, Ear Infections & Antibiotics.
  • Here’s a good fall recipe for you: Kelly’s Organic Squash Bisque.
  • Do any of you have any unique Thanksgiving traditions you could tell us about?
  • Lastly, Melissa is quickly becoming one of my top favorite bloggers, I love her writing! Today I thought you might want to check out her great tips for keeping the kids out of your hair while cooking your Thanksgiving dinner – these are actually great ideas to keep your kids busy anytime. :)
