An Honest Question About the *Possibly* Upcoming Rookie Class

February 1, 2010 · 2 comments

question

OK, Reader Friends, I need your help.  Please be bare-bones honest with me.  I’ve got these ideas for a Real Food Rookie Class, but something has been holding me back from finishing it up.  Mostly it’s TIME, but I’m also wondering if God is telling me to wait on this for some reason, if maybe there wouldn’t be a big enough demand for it right now to make it worth the time it would take to finish the writing and development.  If you could help me figure out whether or not that’s the case, I’d appreciate it very much!

So let me tell you a little about what I’m thinking of offering, and what I’ll probably charge for it.

Then if you’d be SO honest and tell me if you think you’d be interested in buying this either for yourself or a friend who is new on the journey, that will give me a better idea of where I’m at.  Because if this IS something that would help you, I’d LOVE to do it, since I have a heart for those just beginning, for those who feel like I did in the early stages.  I remember well that overwhelmed feeling of not knowing what do do or where to start, and trying to sift through the overload of information out there when it comes to eating a more nutritious diet.

What Would the Rookie Class Offer?

For an example, the first class will be all about healthy fats.  WHAT ones to eat and what ones should be avoided, WHY are they better for us, HOW to incorporate them into your cooking, WHERE to buy it, WHICH ONES are best for which recipes, and often I’ll also include ways to fit these new healthy habits into your budget.  Information will be broken down into manageable and bite-sized pieces of step-by-step instructions, with specific, detailed help for gradually changing a little at a time.

Just in case you’re a little further along and don’t feel quite like a full-fledged rookie anymore, there will be information for each step in the whole process, so if you’re ready to jump in part-way, when you’ve already begun your Real Food journey, you’ll benefit from this class, too.

Logistics:

  • $50 for 3 months.  Two classes each month, downloadable and delivered via email.  (Baby steps so as not to overwhelm you more!)
  • Occasionally I’ll contact you between classes for a reminder or with some encouragement.  :)
  • Included will be a members-only forum so I can personally answer your questions when you’re stuck or confused about something.  Here you can also share your successes and the changes you were able to make so you can help encourage others, too.
  • The format for these classes will depend on the answers I receive below.

By the way, the answers you share will show up anonymously, I won’t know who said what. And yes I know that part of the survey colors are running off the page to the right, but I don’t have time to mess with it any longer to make it look perfect. (I’m trying to not be SO anal about everything, aren’t you proud of me?)

Sorry, I’m still trying to figure out how I can afford organic free range eggs, organic grassfed raw dairy products, not to mention the meat. Wouldn’t pay for an online class.
