  • #1 Real Food Christmas Idea:

farm apparel God Bless you merry ree-eeaders, let nothing you delay!

Remember raw milk tee-ee-shirts, go on sale today.

To save us all from FDA’s power, while we go our own way!

Oh Oh tidings of comfort and joy…organic and cute!

Oh Oh tidings of comfort and joy.

That little diddy was written by Cathy at the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund. Please tell everyone about their t-shirts for sale – they make great Christmas gifts!  And the money goes to support the Fund – do you know everything they do for us Real Foodies?  Read all about it here.

Ann Marie says, “I bought 3 at the conference and they are AWESOME!  I LOVE the new organic ones — soo soft and they fit great.  I also love wearing my Who’s Your Farmer? shirt to the farmer’s market!”

***Also, keep in mind that soon Ann Marie & I will be selling our t-shirts and shopping bags, hopefully by next week…  UPDATE:  these are now available!

  • Real Food Ingredient Guide#2 Real Food Christmas Idea:

Know any Real Food beginners?  My new Real Food Ingredient Guide is only $5 and would help them figure out what ingredients to avoid and which ones are good alternatives!  (It would also help to support this blog, too…)

  • #3 real food for mother and baby Real Food Christmas Idea:

I love giving the gift of knowledge to friends and family by buying them Real Food books.  (And I always give Moms-to-be the Nina Planck Real Food for Mother & Baby book.)  Another great option is the new book out by Holly Hickman:  Healthy Eats ~ The Organic & Grassfed Restaurant E-Guide to help you find Real Food restaurants all around the country!  I’ve only just started reading this but LOVE it so far – what a huge undertaking and something VERY needed!  Holly said this:  “Since I’m such a huge fan of all of ya’ll’s blogs — those of you from Texas know ya’ll’s is a word — I want to offer an introductory discount to your readers: 15% off, which would make the book $25.49 instead of $29.99.  The introductory discount would be valid for one week only, starting this Wednesday and ending next Wednesday (the 16th) at 11:59pm.

  • #4 Real Food Christmas Idea:

  • boschBlenderMill#5 Real Food Christmas Idea:

Have you or your spouse been really wanting that new kitchen appliance?  I certainly love my gadgets and they make a busy life much easier.  I’m all about convenience.

I love #5. My parents asked me what I’d like for Christmas, and without hesitating I said, “A good food processor!” Right now I have a blender attachment I use for a food processor, and it holds about 1 cup and has a giant crack in it – not exactly user-friendly for all these nourishing recipes!

But really all the ideas you suggest are excellent, Kelly! I try to give people “nourishing” gifts whenever possible, because they can be a thoughtful blessing as well as a way to introduce someone to a better way of eating (and living!).

Cute t-shirts! I love #5 too though, I asked for a good dehydrator for Christmas! :)

Great organic/grass-fed restaurant in GR, MI is Electric Cheetah on Wealthy street near Diamond.
