Doctor:  “I am more concerned about the vaccine than I am about the Swine Flu…”

Fox News:  “Do you give it to your kids?”

Doctor:  “No, I definitely would not. It’s too big of a risk.”

Watch the video below and then let us know what you think.  What have you decided?  Will you get the Swine Flu vaccine (or any flu vaccine)?  Will you give it to your kids?

Heck, no, I’m not getting the swine flu vaccine. As the primary breadwinner in my family, I’d have to think about it if my employer were to require it, but I sure hope we don’t get to that point.

What little I’ve read about it seems to indicate that a whole lot of people are getting sick – but they’re not very sick for the most part.

My stepdaughter has it. She’s confined to her bedroom, so as not to infect her family I assume. She’s posting on facebook that she’s bored and can’t wait to get back to work. Doesn’t sound life-threatening to me!

No way! I know some who got the vaccine yesterday, and I don’t even want to be around that person(Do you know about the freshly vacinated baby drooling on the grandfather, and the grandfather getting polio from it?), much less take it myself! I think you have to be crazy to have read all the pros and cons, and still willingly have yourself injected with that garbage!

Swine flu just went through our whole family. My three kids (6,4 and 2) have had it, as well as my husband and me. I can tell you, it was no big deal. The doctor in the clip was right when he said that if you had to choose between the swine flu and the seasonal flu, you’d choose the swine flu. It’s much shorter lived (about 3 to 4 days in duration), with fever, headache, runny nose and cough. We have had MUCH worse in our family (like the hand, foot and mouth disease the kids got this summer!). I think the press, as usual, is blowing the whole swine flu thing out of proportion.

It’s scary to me that they’re pushing this new vaccine that has been created way too fast, without long-term studies, for an illness that is only mildly worse than the common cold.

That being said, my kids do not have any underlying medical issues that would compromise their immune systems from the start. So, for us, swine flu was not a big deal. For a child who does have an underlying medical condition, the swine flu might be a bigger issue and parents need to take that into consideration.

How can you tell if you’ve contracted the Swine flu, or just the regular old flu bug? Do you have to get an official diagnosis from a doctor, or a blood test?

I am SO HAPPY to see an expert on national news being HONEST about the dangers, and admitting there is no way he would take the vaccine, or give it to his children! It’s about time.

My 11 yr old son had Swine Flu a few weeks ago. I know it was SF because his classmates had it. The worst part of it was the vomit that flew out of his mouth onto my carpet! Yikes!

He was sick a full day w/fever and over all yuck. The day before and the day after were just “uuuuhh, I don’t feel good” days, but not a big deal. He missed one day of school.

I heard on the news last night “The SF Vax is here in the state of LA be sure to sign up and get yours as quickly as possible”. Umm, how bout no.

My son was the only person in our family to contract the SF. My younger son was a freak about washing his hands and avoiding his brother. My dh was at work, so not around and I typically wash my hands throughout the day. The media blew this all out of proportion.

I love hearing from those of you who had swine flu in your family, it sounds like, just the like the doc in the video said, the vaccine is more dangerous than the flu.

Thanks everyone,
Kelly

My nephew just got over the Swine Flu. It lasted all of 3 full days, complete from the Mom, I don’t feel right, to jumping around in his room because he was bored, and my sister not believing this “huge deal” (according to the media) could be over so fast.

By the way, do you know how they confirmed it was the “swine flu”??? No tests at all… the doctor told my sister, “we’ve been told, if anyone has the flu right now, it’s the swine flu”… how about that for some propaganda?!? Very few docs are even testing to see which strain of flu it is!!! Wow, sounds like hyping it up to me!

Anyhow, all he had was a headache the first day, and he said he felt “normal” after 24 hours, but the doc told them to keep him in bed for the full 72 hours.

As for the question, would I take the vaccine, or allow my kids to get it? NO WAY!!! It sounds like they are spreading a much worse flu virus/strain in the injection that was is out, so they are going to “make” it bad, one way or the other.

By the way, I’m a degreed nurse, and no, I don’t EVER take any flu shot, and no, I wouldn’t put that untested, unstudied garbage in my body.

No one in our family is getting any vaccines for anything. The whole thing has been overblown in order to make pharmaceutical sales, and that’s really all it’s ever based on. If a big entity can create some sort of fear or perceived “need” for something through the media, you can bet every Tom, Dick, and Harry will run out and get it, no matter what it is. I don’t like FOX news, but I think this story is a good one. I hope more people will become educated about this hoax that is going on and avoid vaccines but step up their lifestyle changes and have better nutrition. :)

some interesting evidence linking Vitamin D deficiency (which is the norm in America) and influenza susceptibility…

Sigh, I got the swine flu, later diagnosed via nasal swab, and ended up with a serious case, horrible pain, high fever and an exacerbation of my asthma that left me struggling to breate for 2 weeks. Thank God I was not hospitalized though I was ready. The vaccine was not available where I live. I would have gotten it if it had been available. Please talk to your doctors about this. It can be deadly to not get the vaccine.
