Flu shots have become the mad cry of quackery in modern medicine, which believes that the human immune system is useless to prevent infectious disease and must be artificially hijacked by invasive medical procedures (a shot) in order to function correctly.” From NaturalNews.com

As I mentioned in my other post today about building up your immune system, I had the flu recently – the real flu. Influenza symptoms include fever, headache, body aches, sore throat, and cough – I had all those except the cough. (And I’d choose this over the vomiting bug any day!) Someone asked me if I got the flu shot, of course I said no way. Building a strong immune system is a much safer bet – my symptoms were mild and short in duration. When I was younger, we used to all get really good and sick once a year. Now, I don’t really get one episode of “real sickness”, it’s more of a dragging on type of cold or cough or whatever. I’ve heard that a healthy immune system will still experience illness, but in more dramatic bouts once a year with high-grade fevers, strengthening the body by burning out toxins. A suppressed immune system will have low-grade fevers and many, many bouts throughout the year. I wish I could find an article that backs this up.

Once again, Kelly, you’ve nailed what’s on my mind…and the mind of all concerned healthy people going into winter.
I worked for a gov. organization once a long time ago. I got sicker than a dog when I took the vaccine….never again. I saw how they were handled. Not refrigerated, old, and only heaven knows what’s in them.
No, no, no….let’s put the pharma business outta business and say NO! to Drugs.
Thanks so much. You’d be interested in a study done on the majority of docs who turned down chemo and radiation, too. It’s in Robbins’ book called Reclaiming Our Health. The whole book is a fascinating read on allopathic medicine.
Hugs to you and thanks again!

Houseofscott,

I’m not sure about that, just due to personal experience. I’m rarely sick, either with high OR low fevers…

Although the thought of your immune system needing to *work* makes sense to me, which is why I think we need to let our kids play in the dirt more! I love it when they do this, Kent isn’t as thrilled with holes in his yard.

Karen,

Fun to hear from you as always! I’ll respond to your email soon. :)
