[...] One piece of advice I heard seems to fit very well here: Pick the thing he eats most often and make a small change with that. I think a grown man would appreciate being asked first, not “surprised,” but that depends on the personality of your husband. You don’t want to lose his trust. Food is just food, it’s not worth risking a marriage over. [...]

Hi Holly,

That's a great point, and one that I hope people get: just start with what doesn't overwhelm you, with that one thing that makes you say to yourself, "I could do that..." If you keep doing this, over time you'll look back and see all the healthy baby steps you've taken!

Kelly

I am starting to change by changing the things that are easiest for me to change! (Do you think I can fit the word "change" in there a couple more times?!)

As I am switching to the healthier alternatives, if it is easy for me to switch to another product, I do it. When I switched milk from lofat to whole I ramped up slowly and made my own 3% milk and still had to listen to complaints! I finally figured if they are hungry/thirsty they will deal with the new products.

If it is hard for me, I just won't stick with it, so easy is the key to my success!
