Kelly,
I can't believe I missed this post! I just stumbled upon it on a link from today's post about Kent's stew. I have to say, because I know Kent, his humor, the way he says his quick, witty comments, I got the best laugh in weeks reading this posting (I was crying!!). Read some to Mike in the other room; he liked Kent's comments, too. What a blessing it is to have husbands on the same page....:)

LOL! I love this post.

I can be bossy too. For some reason, I get real bossy in the kitchen. Ask Seth or my best friend Sarah. Nobody likes to be in the kitchen with me anymore. :-(

It's funny though -- Sarah's kind of used to it. She came over last week and when we were plating, she knew to pull out a paper towel and wipe the splotches of sauce off the plates just like I liked.

My MIL said, "Oh, you don't need to do that," and Sarah looked at her and said, "Uh, yes we do." LOL!

I think this bossiness thing is true of most great chefs, though.

I used to work with a guy in advertising who used to be a chef in New York City. He said his job as VP of Client Services was a lot like his old job as a chef -- "I just yell a lot less."

Thanks for linking this on the Weston A. Price moms, Kelly! I haven't been very vigilant in looking for links. My SIL has one for me that I have to get more specifics from her about; I couldn't find it from the info she gave me. I'm going to bookmark your blog so I can follow it.

Great post from Kent! I just have to say how important it is for couples to be on the same page. How hard would it be Kelly to make the kind of changes you've made in your family's eating habits if Kent was not supportive?
