Many people assume that in order to eat healthy, you must spend all your time in the kitchen, choke down food that is “good for you”, and end up leaving the table feeling unsatisfied. Unless you ate something “bad”, then you may feel ill from what you ate or feel guilty about it. NOT TRUE!
You don’t have to feel deprived
Eating in more traditional, healthier ways doesn’t take THAT much more time (some, but not an impossible amount – and as I add more posts I’ll let you know of various tips to make it easier for you), and it actually tastes GREAT and satisfies you completely (and your kids), provided you follow some basic guidelines.
Something to get you thinking
More information will be coming on all this as I’m able to get more posts out. (As of now there are 115 posts sitting in my drafts folder to work on!) But in the meantime, while I’m working on a couple fairly large posts, I thought I’d pass along the link (below) to this article that will explain ONE way we’ve been duped into thinking that we can’t have what it is that our bodies need so that we feel satisfied.
Here we go…
This is where some of that “politically incorrect” nutrition will come in. I’m hoping this article will help to break down some of the worn out beliefs many of us have been stuck on, I know I was for a long time. It explains very well how the “low-fat” mentality isn’t working and why: our body needs and craves healthy fats! You’ll also read about how we don’t need to be afraid of fats like real butter, meat from animals raised well, eggs from healthy chickens, full-fat dairy, etc., and we don’t need to feel guilty about them anymore!
I hope you’ll take the time to read this article on fats.
